The SURREAL Home & Lifestyle Show is an exclusive media event at the intersection of brands, technology and trends leading the way within the Home & Lifestyle space. Featuring top HGTV and DIY Network celebrity designers and contractors—Tamara Day, Sara Bendrick, Chip Wade, and the entire Design Team from Extreme Home Makeover: Breegan Jane, Carrie Locklyn and Darren Reiher— this invite-only event will showcase sample projects, innovative products and new styles for Spring 2021 and beyond. The show will be held on February 23, 2021—from 1 to 3 PM (EST)—and hosted in SURREAL, a first-of-its-kind immersive virtual events platform. Tamara Day is an American home designer, renovator and television host. She is the host of Bargain Mansion on HGTV and DIY Network alongside her father Ward Schraeder. On her show, Tamara and crew transform big, old houses that she finds at bargain prices. While respecting the integrity and history of the homes, she integrates modern design, function and style into the space—perfect for today’s families. In 2019, Tamara opened Growing Days Home, a 2,500 square foot retail store, showroom and studio in Prairie Village, Kansas, selling many furniture pieces and accessories used for staging early episodes of Bargain Mansions.
Sara Bendrick is a landscape designer, contractor, author and host of HGTV and DIY Network’s I Hate my Yard and Lawn & Order. In addition, Sara owns and operates Sarita Landscape Designs which focuses on residential design throughout Southern California. For part of the year, Sara travels the country doing public appearances and frequently hosts landscape renovation shows that encourage people to value outdoor spaces. Sara is the author of Big Impact Landscapes, as well as a two-time Tedx speaker. She also represents multiple brands and is a national spokesperson for Stihl USA.
Chip Wade is a designer, producer, influencer, contractor, sales and marketing maverick. An Emmy award winning TV producer/host of HGTV’s Elbow Room and spokesperson for several national brands, he is also the owner and lead creative of Wade Works Creative LLC—a creative agency focusing on design, architecture, real estate and building amazing stuff.
Designer, mother, and entrepreneur Breegan Jane is one of the recurring faces on HGTV, where she showcases her expertise in interior design and real estate development to help bring joy and excitement to various families deserving of new and redesigned spaces. She has appeared on television stations and programs including Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, KTLA, The Hallmark Channel, The Chat, and more. Breegan also shares her number one love of motherhood through weekly blog posts and book writing, having authored her first children’s story, Carbie, in 2019.
Carrie has been a professional stand up and improv comic, a commercial dancer and actress, and is currently a TV host, brand ambassador, and home-maker. A person of the heart and home Carrie represents high energy, warmth and joy. Presently, Locklyn’s engaging and informative presentations in design & renovation are featured on HGTV’s Extreme Makeover: Home Edition where Carrie can be seen as part of the ultra talented design team. You can also find her on The Travel Channel’s hit TV show, Hotel Impossible, where she is the lead designer. She has been nationally featured as the face of brands such as Casper, Ford, Ray-Ban, Visa and Samsung, and her design work has been showcased on HGTV & DIY Network shows such as Don’t Sweat It and Garage Mahal
Hailing from a long line of Irish craftsman, Darren Keefe is one of the newest faces of HGTV’s relaunch of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, which premiered in 2020, drawing over 16 million viewers. Together with host Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Keefe is one of three ultra-talented designers who helped build incredible new homes for deserving families in under five days. In addition, Keefe also appears with Nicole Curtis of HGTV’s Rehab Addict in the Quarantine-inspired series, Fix My Fail, which premiered summer 2020.
